2 Filhos de Francisco

2 Filhos de Francisco (2 Sons of Francisco) is a Brazilian film released in 2005, directed by Breno Silveira and based on the life and story of the sertanejo (country) duo Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano. It tells the story of Francisco, a simple and poor man whose dream was to see his sons become sertanejo music stars, and who strove relentlessly to make it happen.

Produced by Conspiração Filmes, the feature film became, at the time, the highest-grossing film of the so-called “Brazilian cinema revival,” surpassing the mark of 5 million viewers, and was the Brazilian film chosen to compete for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film that year. Marcus Arzivenko created the opening titles and letterings in partnership with designer Priscila Lopes.
