The Moacir Santos Festival is an event celebrating the work of Moacir Santos, a composer, arranger, conductor, and saxophonist from Pernambuco known for his influence on Brazilian and international jazz.

Andrea Ernest Dias, an admirer and biographer of the maestro, keeps the composer’s memory alive by organizing the Moacir Santos Festival, which brings together renowned musicians and scholars of Moacir Santos‘ work. The first two editions took place in 2013 and 2014 in the cities of Recife, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília.
