“Atento Aos Sinais” Ney Matogrosso

Creation and animation of projections for the set design of Ney Matogrosso‘s show “Atento Aos Sinais”.

“Atento Aos Sinais” was the longest tour of Ney Matogrosso‘s career, lasting from 2013 to 2018. The repertoire highlights “Incêndio”, by Pedro Luís, which seems to have been made especially to record the moment the country experienced in the months of June and July 2013. The theme of the streets is present in “Rua de Passagem” (Passage Street), by Arnaldo Antunes and Lenine, and in the old and modernized samba by Paulinho da Viola, “Roendo as Unhas” (Biting Your Nails). In this one, with a strong presence of percussion (Marcos Suzano and Felipe Roseno), the modern tone is given by the punctuation of Maurício Almeida‘s guitar. The musical direction is by Sacha Amback. Video set design created by Marcus Arzivenko in partnership with Luiz Stein.
